The Repeat of Resolutions

It's the last day of 2014 !

It's only right to talk about resolutions, right ? So here it is, my last year's resolutions. Adapted from my previous post from The Diva In Pink, "Things to do before I turn thirty" !

1) Beauty & Beast
This is something I have been thinking for so long but fear is holding me back. Along with the excuse "I don't have enough money to do it". I am done thinking about it. I want it to happen. And the planning has started.

This actually happened but I stopped mid-way. I sold some necklaces. I have t-shirts printed out but unsurprisingly, did not launch it. I was too busy for a proper photoshoot. I have another idea though for a business. Let's see how that goes.

2) London
Australia (anywhere in Aussie) and London are the places I have always wanted to go since forever. I am going to Melbourne in March so that won't be in the list.

So next trip should be London. I even had a dream that I was at the Big Ben. Even in the dream it felt spectacular and I said "OMG I can't believe I am here". One of the happiest moment in life. Even if it was just a dream.

Tearing as I'm typing this *sob sob*

Husband & I are planning for a Eurotrip in November 2015. So you can stop yourself from asking, "Are you pregnant yet?" because I really want that trip. Who knows? My first child could be "Made in Europe". Insya Allah

3) Publish an eBook
I don't care about what. It could even be about myself since I'm so good at that. Talking about myself that is. I am going to publish one.

This is too much work. I don't even blog that much now. Taking this out of the list.

4) Learn to swim
So that I could swim in the ocean when I go for a beach holiday.

I did swim in the ocean in Boracay so yeay !

5) Travel alone
This is a must. I must do this. No buts.

When I wrote this in January 2014, I did not know that I was gonna get married this year. Honest. So now that I am married, I don't think that this is gonna happen. Ever. My husband will not approve of this.

6) Clear all my debts

This is what I'm excited for. By mid 2015, I will be debt free. Insya Allah. Except for the car loan la okay.

7) Crossfit Games Open 2015
I'm not ready for it this year so I am going to train for next year. First, gotta get back my old stamina.

Scratching this off the list. I'm re-prioritizing my life. It's gonna be about completing my ACCA. Any training will be secondary.

8) Learn 10 new recipes
Must get the list from Jeff. Since I might have to cook for him in the future. If he is my jodoh. Insyallah.

I tried curry. So that's 1. 9 more to go ! haha! And there is no more might.

9) Sew something wearable
With my own hands. Now I gotta get a sewing machine.

hrmm..Okay..A skirt maybe ?

10) Get a job that I actually enjoy
The environment like back in Talent Lab. The only job (not including the gyms of course) that I genuinely enjoy with great benefits. Okay minus the late salary payments due to their unintelligent way of spending.

Because my current job is giving me chest pains and affecting my hormones. I am 3 days late and I rarely have that problem. My mood is of course annoyingly fucked up.

I am still in the same company. Things get crazy most of the time here and I think my boss is unfair to a certain extent. However, the flexibility is making me stay for now.

Happy 2015, everybody !

5 Things About Boracay Island

5 Things you need to know about Boracay Island, Philippines

1) Travelling time from Malaysia

It takes about 3 hrs 50 minutes to reach Kalibo airport from KLIA2 via airasia. From there, you will need to take a bus or van to Caticlan Port Jetty which takes about 2 hours. Then, you will need to take a boat ride for 5 minutes. With that note, I suggest you plan your holiday accordingly.

We went for 5 days. 2 days of travelling left us with 3 days. The sun didn't come out at all on one of the 3 days and many activities were cancelled due to the typhoon.

2) Southwest Tours Boracay

There are many booths outside the Kalibo airport for the transfer service but I recommend Southwest Tours. You can approach their booth outside the airport (you will see it once you get out of the very small airport) or you can book on their website. It was PHP975 per person for the "Roundtrip Door to Door with fees". Which means, they will send you straight to hotel and pick you up from hotel. Terminal and environmental fees included.

3) Weather in Boracay

The locals said the best time to travel to Boracay based on the weather would be in May to July. However, the island will be jam packed with people. From 5 minutes walk could take up to half an hour walk. Of course the prices will double or triple.

The rainy season ends at the end of November though so you can plan to go December onwards. The rainy season is from mid July to end of November. Typhoon season but there are still things that you can do AND price are WAYYY cheaper.

4) Small mineral water is average at PHP20!

This is important because I was rushing so I went to the first shop I saw opposite the airport. Bought 2 small mineral water at PHP120. That was actually the price for the big bottle. 2 of them ! gahhh !

5) Water Activity Agents

You will meet MANY! You can register the activities with them or you can just walk to Station 1 where all the water activities are based at. Maybe Station 3 has one too but am not too sure as I didn't walk to Station 3 as much.

We registered for our first activity, which was the cliff jumping at Ariel's point, with a guy named Albert. You gotta register the day before as the boat leaves at 11am. It will cost you PHP2000 per person. That covers your lunch, free flow drink and the activities. The boat will arrive back at Station 1 at 5 pm. Sounds good, ey ? Too bad the activity was cancelled due to the typhoon so we never get to go. Not that I was gonna jump anyway. Haha !

We went for Island Hopping instead. It wasn't really an island hopping because we were unable to go to the other side of the island. Thanks to the typhoon! Boo ! We rented the boat to ourselves for 3 hours (PHP3000 for the whole boat). Albert followed us. First, we went fishing. Jeff managed to catch 1 lapu-lapu. I suck at it. Not surprised.

Then, we went snorkelling. I went into the ocean for 30 seconds ! That's a first ! haha ! Along the way, Albert told us about the island. What's good, what's not, what's what. He even walked with us to the Jonah's Milkshake on the main road because we couldn't find it.

The next day we went para sailing. Yup, me. I WENT PARA SAILING ! The girl who is scared of everything went para sailing. hah ! The para sailing hub is in the middle of the ocean so you gotta take the boat there and wait for your turn. Albert followed us for the para sailing so we had a photographer to record every moment. Para sailing is cost at PHP2,000 for solo and PHP1,500 per person for 2 or 3.

That's all I gotta say about the activities because we did not do much. Oh! I wanted to do the paddle board but we ran out of time. I think it was PHP400 for an hour. I think. I can't remember.

You don't need a tour guide in Boracay but I recommend Albert if you need a guy to help you with the activities. He's a very nice guy and knows a lot about the island.

So there it is. My 5 things you need to know about Boracay. The next post will be about the food, the night life and everything else I could think of.

This post alone took me a few days to finish it :P

A New Journey

My previous blog The Diva In Pink which has my 6 years of life will soon be terminated. I have decided to hit the reset button and start a new book. Stop looking back and start looking forward.

Okay, truth be told. It is because I don't want my future kids to read about my past. I don't want to give them the "You did it before so why can't I?" bullet. Call me a hypocrite but I obviously do not want my children to live my young 20's life. No mother would want their children, esp daughters, to live my young 20's life. Trust me.

So in line with the new year, let's cheers to a new journey !
